Helium Standard

Helium

An inert gas, technical Helium is used for lifting (airships and balloons), as well as for leak detection, optical fibre production, and as a shielding gas for welding. It is the preferred shielding gas for high power laser welding. Its high thermal conductivity produces welds with an excellent aspect ratio. Its high ionisation potential results in good plasma suppression and high weld speeds.

Ferromaxx® Plus

Ferromaxx® Plus (M20ArHeC20/12) weld process gas meeting the requirements of ISO14175:M20, contains 20% Helium and 12% Carbon Dioxide in Argon. Our best gas for welding carbon steel. It is suitable for carbon-manganese, low alloy and coated steels of all thicknesses with a solid wire in dip, spray and pulse transfer. It offers up to 19% increase in weld speeds compared to conventional mixtures and reduced spatter.

Alumaxx Plus Standard

M21ArC20

A weld process gas meeting the requirements of ISO14175:M21, contains 20% Carbon Dioxide in Argon. Suited for MAG welding of carbon, carbon manganese and low-alloy steels. It can also be used to weld stainless steels materials but only with flux-cored filler wire due to its excellent penetration. Recommended for Spray transfer modes.

Ferromaxx® 15 (M24ArCO15/2.5) weld process gas meeting the requirements of ISO14175:M24, contains 15% Carbon Dioxide and 2.5% Oxygen in Argon. The choice for welding carbon, carbon-manganese and low alloy steels in dip, spray and pulse transfer modes.

Carbon Dioxide Industrial grade (99.5%) is typically used for MAG-welding of carbon steels with solid and flux cored wires. May also be used for welding stainless and alloy steels but with flux cored wires only.

A weld process gas meeting the requirements of ISO14175:M31, contains 50% Carbon Dioxide in Argon. Suited for MAG welding of carbon, carbon manganese and low-alloy steels.
