The Air Products Foundation
The mission of the Air Products Foundation, which is overseen by Trustees who are leaders at the company, is to build meaningful relationships with charitable organizations that share the values inherent in our higher purpose and enhance positive relationships with Air Products employees, communities, customers and shareholders. Air Products’ higher purpose is rooted in:
- Attracting and engaging talented and motivated employees;
- Strengthening the quality of life in our host communities;
- Promoting collaboration among people of different cultures and backgrounds.
Air Products Foundation Grants Program
Using the mission as a guide, the Air Products Foundation supports programs in the Lehigh Valley headquarters community, in Air Products host communities throughout the United States, in global locations where Air Products has employees and operations, at colleges and universities where we are strategically engaged, and through employee-directed matching gifts programs.

Lehigh Valley Grants Program
The Air Products Foundation is proud to support our headquarters community in eastern Pennsylvania through our Lehigh Valley Grants Program. To be eligible for consideration, nonprofits must serve the community in the Lehigh Valley, which includes the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton areas of Pennsylvania. Nonprofits in our headquarters community can apply using our Air Products Foundation Grant Application: Air Products Foundation Grant Application. For any questions on the Lehigh Valley program, please contact Laurie Hackett.
Employee-Directed Matching Gifts
The Air Products Foundation matches dollar-for-dollar any contribution made by an eligible U.S. employee to any eligible 501c3 nonprofit organization up to a maximum of $10,000. One hundred percent of the matching gifts are provided to the organizations designated by our employees. The Matching Gift year is consistent with the Air Products fiscal year which is from October 1 through September 30. Donations made after September 30 will be considered the next year’s gift.
United Way in the U.S. and Around the World
Air Products is a strong supporter of the United Way and celebrates the important work they do in communities in the U.S. and around the world. For the 2018 United Way campaign, the Air Products Foundation matched dollar-for-dollar any contribution made by a current employee or retiree up to $50,000. In 2018, Air Products employees and retirees donated $3 million to United Way.
